Pentagram x Brands&People

Hosted by Brands&People, a parallel event was created for Design Week Monterrey 2010, where we had the honor of having DJ Stout partner at Pentagram Austin, the legendary design firm. Born in the small West Texas town of Alpine, DJ Stout studied graphic design at Texas Tech University, where he was a distinguished student. Today he is known as one of the most prestigious designers in the field. We were present at his conference and at the end he concluded with a book signing.

About Pentagram

Pentagram is a multidisciplinary creative studio founded in 1972 with offices in London, New York, San Francisco, Austin and Berlin. It is one of the most important design studios in the world, where today is conformed by 16 partners of undoubted influence and experience in design, architecture, industrial design and interior design meet, including Dj Stout.

Book Signing

After the conference, we had the honor to get a closer approach with Dj Scout and shake hands with him. He brought some copies of Pentagram's most popular books like “Pentagram Marks” and “The Compendium” then proceeded with the book signing. We are very grateful of having Dj Stout with us and thrived to carry out all we learned.

Organizado por Brands&People, se creó un evento paralelo al Design Week Monterrey 2010, donde tuvimos el honor de tener con nosotros a DJ Stout socio de Pentagram Austin, la legendaria firma de diseño. DJ Stout nacido en la pequeña ciudad de Alpine, en el oeste de Texas, estudió diseño gráfico en la Texas Tech University, donde fue alumno distinguido. Hoy es conocido como uno de los diseñadores con mayor prestigio en la rama. Fuimos presentes de su conferencia y al final concluyó con una firma de libros.

Sobre Pentagram

Pentagram es un estudio de diseño multidisciplinario fundado en 1972 con oficinas en Londres, Nueva York, San Francisco, Austin y Berlín. Es uno de los estudios de diseño más importantes del mundo, donde hoy reúne a 16 socios de indudable influencia y trayectoria en diseño, arquitectura, diseño industrial e interiorismo, entre ellos Dj Stout.

Firma de libros

Después de la conferencia, tuvimos el honor de conocer un poco más de cerca a Dj Scout. Nos regalos algunas copias de los libros más populares de Pentagram como “Pentagram Marks” y “The Compendium” luego procedió con la firma de ellos. Estamos muy agradecidos haber tenido a Dj Stout con nosotros y listos para llevar a cabo todo lo que aprendimos.
